AMOpportunities regularly provides suggestions for clinical experiences to those who create an online 
account. These suggestions are based on an individual's preferred specialty, locañon, and month they plan 
to eserve. New experiences with top academic physicians and institutions are updated and added 
regularly.
We aim to provide the international medical community with access to high-quality medical education in 
the United States. To be eligible, you must be a current medical, nursing, or dentistry student. We also accept 
recent graduates and professionals. Proof ofe     tyis required in the form ofaletterof good standing from 
your school oranapplicabledegree.
DETERMINING CREDENTIALING
Your insñtution must determine if AMO's clinical experiences can be used for credit. AMO will work with your 
school to see if it is possible to meet school requirements. If you intend to use our clinical experiences for 
credit, please confirm they meet your school requirement before reserving, as AMO does not offer refunds for
cancellations.
H&NDS-ON CLINICAL EXPERIENCESVS. OBSERVERSHIPS
AMO  o0ers  both  hands-on  clinical  experiences  and 
abserverships.  Hands-on clinical experiences involve patient- 
focused clinical exposure. Visitors have basic interacñons with 
pañents, which may include recording medical histories and 
performing physical examinations. Hands-on does not mean the 
visitor is allowed to funcñon as a licensed physician.
Observerships  do not include pañent contact. Visitors  gain 
exposure  to  the U.S. medical  system as they observe  their 
supervising  physician.  Visitors  may  parñcipate  in  case 
presentations  or  help  make  differential  diagnoses  if  the 
supervising physician allows it.
Regardless of the type of nical experience a visitor takes part 
in, he or she must adhere to all HIPAA  and Joint 
Commission regulañons and state regulatory guidelines. It is the 
responsi ty of each visitor to be responsible for their 
act1ons. At no t1me should a visitor engage in the unsupervised 
pracñce of medicine or represent him or herself as a licensed 
professional. Doing so is considered a felonycriminaloffense.
INPATIENTANDOUTPATIENT
Programs are listed as either inpañent, outpañent, or inpatient/outpañent, which is a combinañon of the 
two. The inpañent clinical experiences occur in a hospital setting where visitors follow the supervising 
physician as they complete their rounds. Outpañent clinical experiences take place in a clinic or at the 
physician's private practice. An Inpañent/Outpañent experience will consist of both nic and hospital 
exposure. In this type of rotation, you gain training in both settings based on patient load. Many clinical 
experiences are a combination of inpatient and outpatient perU.S. medicine requirements in certain medical 
specialties VIRTUALCLINICALEXPERIENCES
In addiñonto our in-person observership and hands-on clinical experiences, AMO oKers virtual 
clinical eHperiences.These programs allow participants to learn about t@ U.S. healthcare system and earn an 
LoRfr€tm wherever they are in the world. Virtual clinical experiences ñ@a great opñon for those looking 
to sav¿j transportation/living expenses and avoid the hassle osec{„„,g¿@g a visa and the immunizañons 
needed fo8'fl - person experiences.
Tele health is becoming increasingly commonplace in medicine as it is a safe and convenient method 
og providing care to pañents. ning experience with tele health medicine early can help individuals st 
from their peers and gain new skills, which may include troubleshooñng common technology issues 
a@ connecting with patients virtually.
AMO rotations starts at $999. This price is based on locañon, experience type, and the affiliated inst1tuñon or 
hospital. The experience fee covers physician payment, coordinañng services, and administrating fees.

We also require proof of English proficiency. If your medical school teaches”in English, then a IeRer 
stating this from a dean or professor will su2ce. Otherwise, you can submit the TOEFL, IELTS, or other 
equivalent. If neither of these are applicable to you, but you are proficient in English, you may schedule a 
short phone call with AMO to confirm your English proficiency.
OBTAIN A VISA
For those who do not already have a visa or who are not from a country where a waiver is applicable, we 
recommend applying for a B1 visa. You may join under another eligible U.S. visa, however, we only 
provide support for B1 visas. AMopportuniñes provides placement letters upon acceptance and 
invitation letters upon reservañon.
In the case that an individual is denied a visa, we can postpone the clinical experience and the individual 
can reapply with a IeRer directly from the hospital. For those who are not planning to try for a visa again, 
we will provide a half refund in the amount paid for the reservation. Historically, 90 percent of our students 
secure visas with their first application.
SECURE HOUSING
While it is the visitor's responsibility to secure housing, AMopportunities can provide suggestions 
for companies to rent through based on the clinical site's location.
YourAMO Coach will provide you with information for our partner homestay companies American 
Homestay Network and Sara's Homestay. These companies work with you to secure housing with a kind 
and welcoming host located near your clinical experience site. Another option is Airbnb, which provides 
you with more flexi ty. You can search with adjustable filters that account for certain preferences. Some 
renters provide guests with an extended stay discount.
We do our best to locate accommodations and third-party vendors to give the closest and most 
reasonable options. The trainee must reserve and pay for the housing themselves. As you search for your 
stay, you can always ask your AMO Coach for guidance.

Clinical experiences require U.S. health insurance that tained easily through a vendor. AMO
