What is Prolotherapy?
Prolotherapy, also called proliferation therapy is a
non-surgical and injection-based treatment used
in chronic musculoskeletal conditions. It is a
procedure where a natural irritant is injected into
the soft tissue of an injured joint to kick start the
body’s healing response, you will feel worse
before you feel better but the aim is to strengthen
the ligaments in the j oint resulting in better
stability and pain relief.
What Is PRP or Platelet-Rich Plasma?
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP), or platelet
concentrates, have been studied extensively
since the 1990s. Plasma concentrates are a
way to help the body finish the healing process
and strengthen the weakened tissue. The use
of PRP, a portion of the patient’s own blood
having a platelet concentration above baseline,
to promote healing of injured tendons,
ligaments, muscles, and joints, can be applied
to various musculoskeletal problems.
What Is Stem Cell Therapy?
Stem cell therapy focuses on delivering stem cells
to parts of the body that are in need. Adult stem
cells (also known as Somatic stem cells) are
undifferentiated cells found throughout your body.
These stem cells can be harvested from a
patient’s own body and is processed into a stem
cell concentrate and injected at the focal point of
treatment in the patient’s body. Once the stem
cell concentrate has entered the treatment site,
the regeneration process begins.
