Melanie Lawrence's academic successes reflect her dedication to 
academic greatness. She earned a perfect 4.0 GPA while earning 
her Master's in Education in 1998 from the University of Minnesota. 
Melanie Lawrence-Smith has played a crucial role in training 
educators and leaders in critical areas like Standards Development, 
Collaborative Teams, Equity, Data Analysis, Restorative Practices, 
and Family Engagement. 
Melanie Lawrence has also led Professional Development initiatives 
and established Professional Learning Communities. 
Melanie Lawrence's excellent leadership qualities are the foundation 
of her effectiveness; she excels at coaching, coordinating successful 
professional development, supporting program implementation, 
encouraging collaborative endeavours, and establishing an excellence 
culture that supports students' successes. 
Melanie Lawrence's career history has had a significant influence. 
From 1998 through 2019, Melanie worked for Richfield Public 
Schools, where she demonstrated her commitment and adaptability.  
Melanie Lawrence-Smith also took on the role of assistant principal 
at Richfield STEM Elementary in 2017 and now leads a vibrant 
community of more than 800 students and 70 staff members.
