Smart Connect, which is mechanically included in the Eco Construction Ready Smart-UPS unit, 
is an ingenious joining feature that makes Smart-UPS more flexible and easier to deploy: Smart 
Attach allows you to view the status of the UPS finished a secure web portal. Through this 
ground-breaking remote monitoring border, you will receive involuntary notifications, firmware 
updates, and progressive support. 
Check the package contents after receipt: 
Observe all national and local electrical codes. All wiring must be achieved by a qualified

practice safe lifting methods suitable for the weight of the gear. 
Electrical Safety: 
Use tools with sequestered handles. Do not handle any metallic connectors before separating the 
power source. For replicas with hard-wired inputs, a qualified electrician must be associated with 
the outlet tour (power supply). 230 V replicas only: To comply with the EMC instruction of 
products sold in Europe, the length of the output cable linked to the UPS must not exceed 10 
meters. The defensive earth conductor of the UPS carries the leakage current from the load 
apparatus (computer equipment). 
Connect insulated foundation electrodes as part of the branch circuit that supplies the UPS. The 
conductor size and lining physical must be the same as the beached and ungrounded branch 
switch performers. The conductor is usually lime, with or without creamy stripes. When a 
separate crushed terminal is used, the leakage current of the pluggable UPS type may surpass 3.5 
mA. The UPS input ground electrode must be properly connected to the protective crushed on 
the service panel. If the UPS input power is if, by a separately derived system, the foundation 
conductor must be properly linked to the power transformer or motor-generator set. 
Hardwire security: 
Before setting up cables or making networks, check that all branch circuits (mains) and low-
voltage (control) circuits are re-energized and locked, whether in the junction box or connected 
to the UPS. Need to be wired by a qualified electrician. Check national and local regulations 
before wiring. All hard wiring (supplied with selected products) requires stress relief. It is 
optional to use a Snap-on strain relief expedient. All starts that allow access to the hard-wired

Choose wire size and connectors according to nationwide and local rules. 
Battery safety: 
When substituting the batteries, please replace them with the same amount and type of batteries. 
The battery usually lasts two to five years. Ecological factors affect battery life. Augmented 
ambient temperature, poor utility power quality, and common short-term discharge will shorten 
battery life. The battery should be substituted before the end of its service life. When the device 
designates that the battery needs to be substituted, replace the battery directly. Schneider 
Electric's APC uses closed lead-acid batteries. 
 
Under usual use and handling, there is no contact with the internal mechanisms of the battery. 
Overcharging, overheating, or another misappropriation of the battery can cause the battery 
electrolyte to discharge. The released electrolyte is toxic and may be damaging to the skin and 
eyes. The model and serial number are situated on a small rear panel label. For some models, an 
extra label is located under the front bezel of the framework. Always recycle used batteries. 
Recycle wrapping resources or save them for reuse.
