Eligibility Criteria
Master's Degree Route 4 Year Bachelor's Route M.Phil Route
• A 1 year or 2 year master's degree after a • Candidates seeking admission after a 4 year or • Candidates who have completed the M.Phil

Selection Process
Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET)  Eligible candidates appear for the entrance test conducted by MIT-WPU. 
1 Qualifying marks: 50%, relaxed to 45% for SC, ST, OBC (non creamy layer), differently abled, and EWS 
candidates.
Test Syllabus  The entrance test syllabus consists of 50% research methodology and 50% subject PET Exemption
2 specific content. The PET syllabus is available for download on the programme page.
Interview and Viva Voce  Conducted by the university for test qualifying candidates. Selection Candidates who qualify UGC NET, UGC 
3 weightage: 70% entrance test and 30% interview performance. CSIR NET, GATE (valid score), CEED, GPAT 
(valid score), or similar national tests are 
exempt from the entrance test. For 
these candidates, selection is based on 
Provisional Admission  Recommended candidates are intimated by email and offered provisional the interview and viva voce.
