Match the new battery to your 
vehicle's specifications - the 
dimensions, cold cranking amps 
rating, capacity etc. Consult your 
vehicle manual if needed.
Purchase Protective Gear 
Invest in protective glasses and 
gloves. Battery acid interactions 
can cause injuries. Safety first.
Prepare Your Vehicle 
Park your vehicle where the 
battery is easily accessible. Set 
parking brake and ignition to 
the off position.
Disconnect Cables & 
Accessories
Start by disconnecting the 
negative cable first to avoid 
potential sparks. Remove all 
cable clamps and accessories 
wires connected to old battery.
Remove the Old Battery 
After disconnecting everything, 
carefully remove the old battery 
from its holder tray. Place aside 
to recycle later if applicable.
Inspect the Battery Tray

into place in the tray, reconnect 
each accessory, clamp and the 
positive and negative cables.

reconnection. Start engine to 
check battery charge and 
performance.
Dispose of Old Battery 
Now take your old car battery 
to a proper recycling or 
hazardous waste facility. Most 
stores accept trade-ins too.
