7 Kids Care Activities You Can Do With Your Kids In This Coronavirus Situation
7 KIDS CARE ACTIVITIES YOU
CAN DO WITH YOUR KIDS IN THIS
CORONAVIRUS SITUATION
Since we all know we are going through a tough
time right now and part of that is kids staying at
home from school so a lot of parents might be
struggling to keep their kids busy and entertained
during the day.
1. DRAWING ON THE WALL
Hey, you heard it right but you don’t really need to let your kids
draw on the wall you just simply tape some paper on the wall so
your kids feel like they are coloring on the wall.
And heck what kids love to draw on the wall, it’s a super amazing
trick to keep your kids busy for a short period of time. You can
use any type of paper laying around the house like a newspaper
or cardboard or any other material that you have.
Just give your kids some crayons or any washable paint if you feel
to give them and let them draw their imagination on the wall.
2. WATER COLOURING
It is just more fun than crayons, to be honest, kids love to get a
little messy and create their imaginations. Now this is really
amazing to see your kids doing something different from their
daily routine.
Water coloring is a really amazing activity when it comes to
keeping your kids busy, the advantage is it will not only keep
your kids busy but also helps them to create whatever they
want. My little one loves to water coloring. But sometimes it
becomes messy honestly.
3. SHAPE HOPSCOTCH
It is a super fun game that only takes a few materials to create
yourself. All you need is some colored paper, paper plates,
and some makers and it’s pretty much it.
This is called shape hopscotch. Eventually you are making your
own little version of twister and it helps to colors and shape as
well.
So all you need to do is to cut out some bunch of different
shapes and in a bunch of different colors. And just create your
own little spinner out of a paper plate.
Now you’re gonna draw the shapes as a part of choices too. so
you can land on a color or a shape. Then to make a spinner
you just gonna use a little sewing pin. Then hook it to the
plate.
The whole idea is that you spin the spinner, you see which color
or shape it lands on, and you hop to that color.
If you touch the floor you lose.
4. SCAVENGER HUNT
You can do two different types of Scavenger Hunts. A color hunt
and a shape hunt.
The color is basically where you just create a sheet with different
colors on it. And you have your kids go around the house and
find Objects that match with that color.
This is also a good opportunity to practice your handwriting and
practice your spellings. To make it more interesting you can
try to use more unique colors or limit them to certain rooms of
the house.
You can even say things like (find 3 green objects and find 4
blue objects).
Then for the shape hunt, it’s the similar concept, but this time
parent gathers up different objects and traces them onto the
piece of paper as the template. Then the child has to go
around the house and find the matching objects.
This will become really fun if you can find some funky shaped
objects. That might not be as easy to find.
5 TUBE TUNNEL
So for this you just need some recycled paper towel rolls, toilet
paper rolls if you have, and even the rolls from wrapping paper.
Then you are gonna want to use some painter’s tape. That way
you will not damage your walls and create different tracks to
drop a marble, a bead, or a ball down.
You can challenge your kids to figure out different tracks that they
can create and teach them about things like gravity, kinetic
energy, and inertia along the way.
Wait Wait Do not recycle those tubes now because you are gonna
need them in your next activity.
6. INDOOR BOWLING
Basically you are creating bowling pins out of tubes, plastic
bottles whatever you have in your recycling bin. You can even
make a point system. Then take nice softball and throw it at
the pins or roll it whatever works best for you.
You can get creative with your own rules and your own way to
play this game. You will be surprised by how entertaining this
is.
7. GLITTER VOLCANO
It is a good old fashioned baking soda volcano but with a little twist.
So for this you are going to need baking soda, Vinegar, and some
food coloring and some glitter. I also recommend keeping a tray
to catch your mess.
So just keep a glass on the tray and add some baking soda into the
glass but instead of just pouring the vinegar straight in, you
wanna add some glitter and food coloring to make it more
beautiful.
Then mix it up a little and pour the vinegar in it and boom there
goes your volcano.
