4 Reasons Why Cannabis Should be Tax-Free

4 Reasons Why Cannabis Should be Tax-Free  My BPG ensures that marijuana is available tax- free for Marijuana Treatment Programs.   With the world moving towards legalized cannabis for recreational purposes, the society is becoming more accepting for cannabis. Canada and Uruguay have formed acts to allow their citizens to use recreational marijuana. The emerging evidence for health benefits related to cannabis call for governments for making availability of tax-free cannabis.  There are two categories of patients eligible for marijuana for medical reasons. In some regions of the world, it is legal for physicians to prescribe cannabis to certain patients. The eligible ones are provided a card, a license, to purchase marijuana on medical grounds. There are various Berkeley Patients Group treatment programs, however, due to the absence of avenues for availability of cannabis, even approved patients face difficulties. This article entails benefits of cannabis for health, and challenges patients face for accessing marijuana. Medical Benefits of Cannabis   A few scientific studies prove the medical benefits of cannabis for specific uses. Marijuana has also made positive impact on the health of some individuals. Some of these benefits are: Chronic Pain   Patients suffering from chronic pain, or having arthritis, can rely on marijuana treatment programs as it many patients found marijuana to be vastly relieving when combined with their pain management regimen. This way of assuaging pain using cannabis dates back 5000 years when cannabis was used in traditional Eastern medicine. However, it was adopted as pain relief in Western medicine in the mid-1800s, and has been part of many treatment programs for various diseases. Parkinson’s Disease   Although, there are no studies available to prove that cannabis is effective for treating Parkinson’s disease. However, many Parkinson’s patients have claimed cannabis effectively helps relieving pain and tremors, resulting from this disease. This anecdotal evidence establishes that Parkinson’s patients can use marijuana treatment program for medical reasons. Chemotherapy Side-effects   Chemotherapy leads to few side-effects such as nausea, weight loss and loss of appetite. For some people, cannabis and drugs containing cannabinoids help patients cope with the side-effects of chemotherapy and helps them relax. Medicines containing synthetic cannabinoids, esp pill Nabilone, helps patients control nausea associated with chemotherapy and is often prescribed by doctors for treating side-effects of chemotherapy. For other side effects such as loss of appetite and weight loss, some patients have reported that cannabis helps in increasing their appetite. Although there is no formal scientific research to support the effectiveness of cannabis for cancer patients, yet anecdotal feedback from chemotherapy patients is a valid reason. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)   Post-Trauma Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition triggered by experiencing or witnessing a terrifying event. First responders, who witness disturbing events such as accidents and other tragedies, are highly susceptible to suffer from PTSD. Treating PTSD effectively is a challenge, and this treatment mainly relies on using traditional antidepressants and relaxants along-with additional group therapy. In various studies and research papers, the relationship between PTSD and cannabis was discussed at length. In those papers, it has been established that physicians specializing in the treatment of PTSD have found cannabis greatly helpful for certain patients. Although, cannabis cannot completely eradicate the symptoms of PTSD, however, it can provide a “significant stabilizing therapy to allow other therapies to then take place, and allow a much better quality of life for the patient”, says Paul Smith, an NB physician. Conclusion:   With all the discussion above, it can be safely concluded that cannabis is a helpful drug for treating various diseases. As it helps cure many diseases directly as well as indirectly, the availability of there must be tax-free cannabis supply. With approved marijuana suppliers, approved patients, having a medical exemption, can access tax-free cannabis. Once government takes the responsibility of establishing cannabis supply, the limited patients having difficulty receiving cannabis, will have sufficient supply for health purpose. By lifting ban on the cultivation of marijuana plants, valid patients can grow a limited number of plants for their personal use. THANK YOU 
