The PG program in Power Electronics & Drives is a 2 years full time specialization program opted by students who have been awarded B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics & Electrical Engineering. The program has been designed keeping in view that in today’s scenario more than 60% electric power generated will be transformed and used by electric drives of machines. Modern microprocessor control and advanced power electronics devices allow versatile speed and torque control of electric machines. The issue of optimal motion control of technical devices is a pressing one, with a solution that will lead to higher productivity. The program has been designed to impart knowledge about power converters & its applications, energy converters, semi-conductors, advanced control systems, neutral networks, digital signal processing and digital control systems.
