Alexandrian senna, and its scientific name is Cassia  
angustifolia. It is a herb. The active components  
sennoside in senna leaf extract are anthraquinone  
derivatives and their glucosides, referred to as senna  
glycosides or sennosides. Senna is an FDA-approved
