India is pushing ahead with plans to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games, positioning the event as part of its long-term strategy to bring the 2036 Summer Olympics to the country. The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has confirmed that an expression of interest has been submitted to the Commonwealth Games Federation, with Ahmedabad strongly tipped to lead the bid.
