 Post-quantum cryptography (PQC), also referred to as quantum-resistance

 Ford Global: Ford is exploring the quantum world with Microsoft to help  
reduce congestion. Ford believes that quantum computing has the 
potential  to deliver balanced routing to drivers, which could create a 
series of
cascading benefits: smoother flow of traffic, more efficient commutes, and
even reduced pollution.
 Volkswagen: The German automaker has started using quantum  
computing to set pricing for its vehicles and to determine the precise  
location to establish electric charging stations for maximum effectiveness.  
Volkswagen has collaborated with Canadian quantum computing firm D-  
Wave and partnered with Google’s quantum computing unit for research.  
In 2019, the Volkswagen team worked with D-Wave to demonstrate the  
first real-time traffic-routing system to rely on quantum computing.
 Hyundai Motor: Hyundai Motor has partnered with IonQ to significantly  
improve next-gen batteries using quantum computing. This partnership 
will  create the largest battery chemistry model yet to be run on a 
quantum  computer, simulating the structure and energy of lithium oxide. 
The project  lays the groundwork to improve the performance, cost, and 
safety of lithium  batteries.
 Mercedes Benz Group: The company has partnered with PsiQuantum to  
research battery chemistry simulation on a fault-tolerant quantum  
processor. The specific task was to investigate quantum algorithms for  
simulating the effects of the electrolyte additive fluoroethylene carbonate,  
one of the largest molecules ever considered for quantum computing.
