Tour Package for Nagaland
The uncontested ‘wild east’ of India, Nagaland is probably
one of the reasons you come to the Northeast in the first
place. Come to spend a week here in a typical Naga village,
understand the local culture and ways of local life and
become one with the Angamis of Nagaland.
DAY 1
ARRIVE AND A WARM ANGAMI WELCOME
AT HOMESTAY
Fly into Dimapur airport and drive up to village Kigwema. After a
warm welcome by your local host family, settle down into your
homestay and enjoy a home cooked Naga meal.
DAY 2
KOHIMA SIGHTSEEING
Visit the capital city of Kohima and marvel at its splendid
landscape the famous cathedrals, war cemetery and spend
some time at the local market and watch the city go by!
Spend the evening at the market purchasing exotic
ingredients for your culinary tour experience by night! You
must visit the Kohima Museum, The British War Cemetery,
Kohima Cathedral and spend some time at the local market
and watch the city go by!
DAY 3
SPEND A DAY IN A TRADITIONAL NAGA
VILLAGE: KIGWEMA
Learn the traditional Angami way of life, see the Morungs
and local homes. Learn basket weaving and shawl weaving.
Spend your afternoon walking the fields and have an exotic
lunch in the fields savouring locally brewed wine.
DAY 4
TREK UP TO JAPFU PEAK OR DZUKOU
VALLEY
Trek up the second highest peak in Nagaland and
marvel at nature’s grandeur and beauty as you
soak in the scenery and splendour!
DAY 5
KHONOMA VILLAGE VISIT
A one of its kind project in the country, Khonoma village is
a testament to the will power of the tribal groups of
Nagaland to protect and conserve their natural habitat. The
village is an ecovillage with all forms of hunting
admonished for a more sustainable ecosystem.
DAY 6
ADIEU NAGALAND, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN!
Since all good things have an end, we part today, with cherished
memories!
