reported each year, as a result of
pushing, transporting, pulling or
lifting heavy objects or machinery
such as barrels, kegs, sacks, crates,
racks, boxes.
Importance of training in manual handling
Manual Handling Training Course is to provide participants with skills and attitude to
enable them to lift and move loads in accordance with good manual handling techniques and
to avoid risk of the injury. The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 require
employers to ensure that all employees are trained and competent in manual handling
