Foundation Programme Syllabus
The exam is informally called the CS Foundation exam. ICSI is the
governing body. The exam runs for two days. Students must write two
essays in the first day, and the remaining on the following day. The test is
conducted two times a year. First In June and the second in December.
The test is computer-based. All questions are MCQ that are based on. The
marking is not negative.
There are four different papers on the test. Each paper will last 90
minutes. The table below gives the structure of each paper.

Because this is a fundamental course, the amount of knowledge that
you're required to demonstrate can be described as "basic knowledge."
Note that"basic" doesn't mean "easy. It simply means that it's basic
contrasted to the degree of knowledge you're required to master in higher
levels.
Executive Programme Syllabus (2 Modules)
The second section of the CS Course. The revised and updated syllabus
(from 2017 onwards) includes two modules comprising the same length,
each with four essays. Each paper has three hours in length and the
assignments are according to the following:

Paper 1: Jurisprudence, Interpretation & General Laws
Paper 2: Company Law
Paper 3: Setting up of Business Entities and Closure
Paper 4: Tax Laws
MODULE 2:
Paper 5: Corporate and Management Accounting
Paper 6: Securities Laws & Corporate Markets
Paper 7: Economic, Business and Commercial Law
Paper 8: Financial and Strategic Management
If you register, you'll be required to sign up for both sections of the test. If
you're taking the exam, you are able to select to sit for either or both of
the modules. Because of the unique nature of the exam's passing
requirements (see below) we recommend that you, if prepared, you take
both sections of the test.
Professional Programme
This is the final exam for Company Secretary course . The syllabus has
been updated (effective beginning in 2017) there are three sections of

Paper 3: Resolution of Corporate Disputes, Non-Compliances & Remedies

Paper 1: Corporate Funding & Listings in Stock Exchanges
Paper 2: Multidisciplinary Case Studies (The exam for this paper will be an
open book exam)
