 When a player knocks in Gin Rummy, it implies that he has lowered his 
hand to the maximum number of points authorized by the value of the 
knock card. This indicates that if the knock card is a seven, the person 
knocking has seven or fewer points in their hand. If the knock card is an 
Ace, it has to be played to Gin.

 A player may knock at any time throughout his turn, but only after drawing 
and before throwing his final card. If he forgets to knock before discarding, 
he won't be able to do so until the following play of his hand, which occurs

 After knocking, the count is calculated by assigning a value to the 
unmatched cards. The merged cards are counted as zero and separated 
from the unpaired cards in piles. Unmatched cards are then assigned 
points based on their worth. For example, if you have an unpaired 2 and 
a 3, your count is 5. If you have a 2, 2, and a 3, your total will be 7, and so 
on. A ten, jack, queen, or king is worth ten dollars. An ace is worth one.

 Following the player's announcement of his count, the opponent must 
disclose their hand to all participants in the online gin rummy game. The 
opponent may lessen his hand by laying any seamlessly blended he has 
on the table separately from one another. He can then take any unpaired 
cards in his hand that meld with the player who knocked and reduce 
them to zero, a process known as laying off his cards.
