Window air

cool one or more rooms.
Central air conditioning 
systems
These use a duct system to distribute 
cool air throughout a building or 
home. They typically consist of an 
outdoor unit that houses the 
compressor and condenser, and an 
indoor unit that contains the 
evaporator coil and blower.
Portable air conditioners
These are similar to window air 
conditioners, but they can be moved 
from room to room.
Ductless mini-split air 
conditioners
These are similar to split-system air 
conditioners, but they don't require 
ductwork to distribute heating and 
cooling support. They are ideal for 
homes without existing ductwork.
