Healthy fruits
Sweet and sour, eaten in large quantities, can lead
to enamel erosion and cavities. To restore the pH
in children's mouths, serve them with cheese or
nuts - which will also make the snack more
nutritious!
Chewing an apple generates a lot of saliva, which
helps wash away bacteria and food debris from
the mouth. They are, therefore, undoubtedly
apple, one of the best fruits to eat for dental
health!
A quick tip: To limit your child's sugar intake, opt
for fruit canned in its juice or water rather than
fruit preserved in sweet syrups, as well as for
compotes made from 100% fruit and no added
sugar.
Green vegetables
The sugar concentration in vegetables is usually
too low for bacteria to produce acid which can
cause erosion and decay. So always keep raw
vegetables on hand!
Rich in vitamin A and C, celery helps strengthen
the gum tissue. With its crunchy texture, it rubs
the teeth, which cleans them briefly and
eliminates bacteria.
