What are Dental Implants?
A dental implant is a screw-like prosthesis
worn to replace the root part of a missing
tooth that is fastened to your jaw bone to bear
a crown, bridge, or denture to function much
like natural teeth. The implants are in general
made of medical-grade Titanium which fuses
with your jaw bone by a procedure known as
osseointegration....
What are the uses and advantages of Dental Implants?
• ·They are used to replace missing or poorly mutilated teeth and
have them function much like natural teeth.
• ·An Implant-supported prosthesis can be used to replace the
entire missing choppers or teeth structure. It is a fixed solution
and does not need to be taken out and cleaned, unlike a
complete denture. It also makes out more natural and
comfortable. This concept is known as “All on 4”.
• ·There is no need to shave down adjacent teeth formation to
replace missing teeth as opposed to the case where a fixed
partial denture is fixed. They are significantly more warm than
removable partial dentures.
• ·They can be used as dock devices in orthodontics.
