• IRCTC offered fare refund if train is
being late.
• Late refund is only applicable on
“Private Trains”.
• Rs. 100/- is granted for refund, if train
being late by 1 hour.
• Rs. 250/- is granted for refund, if train
being late by 2 hour.
3. Executive Lounges
• IRCTC renovating the traditional retiring
rooms like “Airport lounges”
• Ahmedabad, Bilaspur, Mathura junction
has already developed & providing
modern lounge services
• Facilities at these lounges are provided
like 3 star rated hotels.
4. OTP Based Refund
• IRCTC ensures better & secured refund
system.
• IRCTC adopted OTP based refund
system.
• OTP based refund system is available
only on cancelled or fully waitlisted
dropped tickets.
5. New IRCTC PNR Linking
• IRCTC allows passengers to link two
PNRs for connecting train journey.
• If you missed your connecting train
because of late running of 1st train.
• New Rule: You will get refund of
remaining portion of train journey or
balance of remain retained journey will
be refunded.
6. Changing Boarding
Station
• IRCTC allows passengers to change their
boarding station 24 hours before
scheduled train departure.
• No extra fee will be charged for
changing boarding station.
• Boarding station change is allowed only
once.
• Boarding station change is not allowed
for PNRs with VIKALP option.
7. Pod Hotel
• IRCTC brings India’s first Japanese style
Pod hotel.
• At Mumbai Central Railway Station,
IRCTC planned to launch the very 1st
pod hotel.
• The pods are 5ft.x7ft. in size and having
USB ports, wi-fi, power sockets and a
personal locker.
