The brief was to create a future-focused retail vision and 
fashion-forward voice for Centrepoint. The main 
challenge was finding balance between enhancing the 
distinction between the four brands and creating a 
singular-yet-holistic experience. It was a 
transformational strategy, one that gave personality, 
purpose and meaning to the Centrepoint umbrella 
through the experience of each store.
At the entrance, the Centrepoint pattern has been 
re-imagined as a backlit threshold portal that acts 
as a dynamic backdrop to the enlarged target 
identity, thus symbolizing a newer, more confident 
Centrepoint. 
The welcome beacon features a layer-cake 
mannequin display with a huge digital backdrop to 
communicate super scale advertising and 
promotional campaigns promotions.
The racetrack circulation features angular fractal 
floor tiles and carries customers around the store 
and between brands. The layout is also 
punctuated with category brand beacons that act 
as navigational tools.

All the players in large format retail namely Marks & 
Spencers, Debenhams, and Centrepoint are placed in the 
same zone at Doha Festival City(DFC). All the above-
mentioned brands launched their stores with their latest 
design format. The average sales per day of Centrepoint 
is 55% more than the second best performing brand 
(name withheld due to confidentially clause).
This figure is at least 25% higher when compared with the 
same brands at other malls in Dubai where all these 
brands coexist. This clearly establishes the supremacy of 
Centrepoint in large format fashion retail category at this 
location.
·         Centrepoint sales are also benchmarked against 
internal Landmark retail brands like Max and Homecentre. 
The sales per day of CP is 75% higher against the territory 
average in case of Max and 25% higher in case of 
Homecentre.

Centrepoint Skygardens is a standalone building located next to Burjuman Mall, Dubai. The store business was 
on a steady decline post the renovation of the Burjuman Mall. The management had two choices either to inject 
fresh capital in the business or relocate within the Burjuman Mall.It was decided to renovate the interiors 
including the facade. 
I led the store and facade design project which provided a new lease of life to the building. The building facade 
has a innovative colour changing LED design integrated into the architectural pattern that is unique to 
Centrepoint.

I led the design and

63000sq.ft. was 
constructed in a span of 
90days.

I have led the design and implementation of standard 
shopfront designs for Centrepoint which has been 
successfully rolled out across the MENA region.

I was a key member in the design of Levi's Flagship store at Bangalore, one of the most important stores for the 
brand in the country. The new concept was a perfect fit for the brand. The whole rustic look and feel was created 
through innovative design solutions and use of unique materials and finishes. The store has 3 levels, with ground 
floor housing the premium products and the top floor being the destination.The store won the best retail design 
award in year 2007 at VMRD- Instore.

I was involved in the design and implementation of award winning 
Levi’s Revit (premium Icon) store. The only one in this category in 
the country. 
The shopfront used the iconic levi’s buttons to create a flexible 
system that could be used to create any shape/form. The interiors 
reflected the true character of brand and narrated  the history of 
the legendary brand.

I created the concept design 
for the SIS format specially 
to create an impact for the 
brand where it was
