1. Shree Jagdish Temple, Udaipur
Shree Jagdish Temple is one of the most popular temples in
Udaipur. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and is a

Maharana Jagat Singh, the temple is designed in Indo-Aryan
architectural style. A pyramidal spire, mandap and porch
have beautifully crafted carvings and sculptures of deities
dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
2. Shri Manshapurna Karni Mata,
Udaipur
The Shri Manshapurna Karni Mata Temple is dedicated to
Karni Mata, who is believed to be the human incarnation of
Goddess Durga. As per legends, she resurrected her son as
a rat, and also, it is said that all her family members become
rats after death and reside here. The temple is believed to
have been built during the reign of Maharana Karan Singh,
1621-1628.
3. Mahakaleshwar Temple, Udaipur
The Mahakal Temple attracts many tourists from all over
India due to its majestic and awe-inspiring façade. An
eternal flame burns eternally inside the temple. The temple
is sculpted beautifully with intricate carvings and stone art
work. This historic monument attracts countless pilgrims,
who come to pay their homage to the Lord Shiva at this site.
4. Eklingji Temple, Udaipur
The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the main deity is
Lord Eklingji. It is believed that the original deity of this
temple was established by Shri Eklingji, one of the Bhogpur
Maharanas – who were the rulers of Mewar. They were
considered as representatives of Lord Eklingji.
5. Mahalaxmi Temple, Udaipur
Mahalaxmi Temple is situated on the left bank of the River
Udaipur, in the old city of Udaipur. The concept of Goddess
Mahalaxmi was brought here from Gujarat by Hemaram
Shrimali and his son Giridhar Shrimali during the reign of
Maharana Jagat Singh. They settled here to make their
living from agriculture and business. Later, they decided to
establish a temple so that people of this area could worship
the goddess for prosperity as well as a place to get rid of
their sins.
