In addition, skilled professionals can obtain long-term residency if they 
meet a  minimum monthly salary requirement of AED 30,000. Investors can 
also obtain a visa  by purchasing property worth at least AED 2 million.
Other Changes to the UAE Visa System
 Changes to sponsorship requirements: The new rules for the 
UAE visa  system also include changes to the requirements for 
sponsorship. It includes  ensuring that the visa holder leaves the UAE 
at the end of their visa period.  Sponsors are now responsible for 
ensuring that the visa holder complies with  the terms of their visa.
 Work visa requirements: Applicants for a work visa must now 
have a  minimum of two years of experience in their field of work 
and must pass a  medical examination before they can be granted a 
visa.
 Residence visa requirements: Residence visa holders must now 
renew their  visa every three years.
