Delhi Capitals star batsman Shikhar Dhawan on Sunday has said that the support from his opening partner Prithvi Shaw has been helping him 
to do well. Recently, the two batsmen made things easy for Delhi while chasing a 167-run target against Punjab Kings in Match 29 of IPL 2021 
in Ahmedabad. 
Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw have been doing well in the opening for Delhi Capitals in the ongoing season and it was no different on 
Sunday too as the duo added 63 runs in 36 balls to give their side a strong start. Both the openers went took on Mohammed Shami especially 
who had an ordinary night.

Shikhar Dhawan remained unbeaten at 69 in just 47 balls while Prithvi Shaw did score a blistering 22-ball 39, hitting 3 sixes and as many 
boundaries as well. Notably, both Dhawan (Orange Cap holder with 379 runs) and Shaw (308 runs) are among the top 5 run-getters this IPL 
season as well. 
"'I have been playing with Prithvi for three years now. He makes it easy for me the way he strikes it. At the same time, I stick to my process. 
Last match there was nothing to do from my side, but this match I knew I had to cash in," Dhawan said. 
Shikhar Dhawan has scored at 134 in IPL 2021, ensuring he gives Delhi the flying starts as well. Dhawan has also opened up about he is 
currently focussing on maintaining a good balance between scoring runs and that too quick.

"It's good to get the strike rate up and get the price up as well! (laughs) I keep tabs on both runs and strike rate, both sync. But it depends on 
the wicket as well, you have to respect it. Today there was dew, last two games there weren't. When it comes on nicely I take more risks," 
Dhawan added.
