France at FIFA world cup

France has been taking part in the FIFA World Cup since it was 
started. At the inaugural World Cup in 1930, France was among 
the four European teams that participated in the first FIFA World 
Cup. Since then France has appeared in 15 FIFA World Cups. 
France is the sixth most participating team of the FIFA world cup 
and eighth to have won the FIFA World Cup title twice having won 
its FIFA World Cup in 1998, held in France itself. it defeated Brazil 
in that World Cup with 3­0. In 2006, France was one of the 
runners­up and finally, in 2018, in Luzhniki Stadium, Russia, 
France for the second time, won the World Cup by 4–2 against 
Croatia.
