                     How to Delete, Deactivate, or Exit 
WhatsApp Community
Introduction:
 There are two options for 
leaving a WhatsApp 
community, depending on 
whether you created the 
community or you're just a 
member.

If You're a Member:
 Open the WhatsApp 
community you want to 
leave.
 Tap on the Community 
info (the name of the 
community at the top of 
the screen).

Exit community:
  Scroll down to the bottom 
and tap Exit community.
 Confirm by 
tapping Exit again.

If You're the Community Creator 
(Admin):
 Open the WhatsApp 
community you want to 
deactivate.
 Tap on the Community 
info (the name of the 
community at the top of the 
screen).
Important: You won't see an 
"Exit community" option :
 Instead, navigate to the 
bottom and tap Deactivate 
community.
 Confirm by 
tapping Deactivate again.

Accidental Exit: 
 If you accidentally exit a 
community, you can ask an 
admin to resend you the invite 
link to rejoin.

Exiting a Community 
(Member): 
 This removes you from the 
specific community, but you 
remain a WhatsApp user 
and can participate in other 
chats and communities.

Deactivating a Community 
(Admin): 
 This completely disbands 
the community. 
 All members, including 
yourself, will be removed, 
and the group chats 
associated with the 
community will be unlinked 
and revert to regular chats. 
 You cannot reactivate a 
deactivated community.

Alternative, Mute 
Notifications: 
 If you're not interested in 
a community anymore, but 
don't necessarily want to 
leave entirely, you can 
mute notifications for that 
specific community. 
 This way, you won't be 
disturbed by new 
messages, but you can 
still access the 
information or rejoin the

Conclusion:
 Remember, once you leave 
a community (as a member 
or admin), you won't be 
able to see its messages or 
participate in chats unless 
you're re-added.
