Within the public switched telephone community (PSTN), in-band 
signaling is the alternate of name control statistics in the identical 
physical channel, or within the identical frequency band, that the 
smartphone call itself is the usage of.
In telephony, signaling is the trade of records among worried points 
inside the network that units up, controls, and terminates each telephone 
name. In in-band signaling, the signaling is on the same channel because 
the telephone call.
