A fracture near the wrist can involve more than just the radius. The distal ulna also plays an important role in wrist movement, forearm rotation, and stability. When a fracture affects this area, achieving proper alignment and maintaining fixation can sometimes be challenging, particularly when the fracture is close to the ulnar head or involves smaller bone fragments.
