PROFESSIONAL • IMMIGRATION FIELD OFFICERS
OUTCOMES Immigration officers manage the flow 
and operations of the US immigration 
system. Their job includes conducting 
investigations and interviews of the 
immigrants who submit falsified 
information on their forms for visas, 
asylums, and citizenship.
• ADJUDICATION OFFICERS
Adjudications officers are legal 
professionals who work for government 
agencies. They make decisions related to 
the policies of government agencies 
including acceptance and denial of 
program applications, approving claims 
and penalties, sanctions, and assigning 
liabilities.
• REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT OFFICERS
They work in the Office of Refugee 
Resettlement that offers refugees the 
opportunity to achieve their full potential 
in the USA. Officers may assist them in 
becoming integral citizens of society.
• IMMIGRANT ASSISTANT
Assistants/paralegals may work for 
private law firms, government agencies, 
or non-profit organizations. They help 
immigrants under the supervision of an 
attorney with their applications and 
documentation work to become an 
integral member of the USA.
COURSE DURATION
The Certified Immigration Support 
Specialist is designed as a 6-month 
Certification Program for persons who wish 
to advance their paralegal careers in 
immigration law. Graduates of this program 
will have comprehensive knowledge 
regarding the immigration processes, types 
of visas, their roles, and duties.
The course is divided into three modules 
and after each module, students will be 
evaluated based on knowledge gained from 
the course.
