What Is a Profile Projector?
A non-contact optical measuring instrument for precise 2D inspection
Profile projector also known as an Optical Comparator or Shadowgraph 
Projector, it is classified under Industrial Metrology Systems.
It uses a light source, lenses, and mirrors to magnify and project the contour 
of a part onto a screen — enabling accurate evaluation of dimensions, angles, 
and shapes with micron-level accuracy.
Available in horizontal and vertical models
Measuring range from 50×50 mm to 400×300 mm

Shadowgraph profile projectors project a magnified shadow of the part onto 
a large screen, often within a curtained or enclosed cabinet that blocks 
ambient light for a sharper, higher-contrast profile.
