"Captain America: Brave New World" was unlikely to spark a revolution. There was some expectation that this film would integrate the prison industrial complex, the Tuskegee experiments, and the exploitation of Black people into a compelling modern narrative, given these topics were all discussed in "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier." Unfortunately, by awkwardly combining poorly executed action sequences with distant political issue, "Brave New World" puts amusement before narrative clarity. The heroes are portrayed trying to maintain a drab future built on a suppressed fascist past, but they are unable to find a purpose, which leads to their disintegration.
