The GIIS Global Sports Scholarship 2023, provided by the Global Indian International School (GIIS), is available for students in Class 1 to 12 who have demonstrated exceptional skills in sports and achieved recognition at national, international, and state levels. Applicants are welcome to apply for the scholarship in a variety of sports, both individual and team-based. The sports include Badminton, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Chess, Athletics, Gymnastics, Swimming, Archery, Shooting, Boxing, Weightlifting, Cycling, Diving, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Netball, Traditional Games (Kho-Kho, Kabaddi), Martial Arts (Judo & Karate), Wrestling, Hockey, Cricket, Rugby, and Squash. Those chosen for the scholarship will have all their academic expenses covered, and they will also be provided with sports-related funding, up to a maximum of INR 6,00,000 per year, for three consecutive years. Eligibility GIIS Global Sports Scholarship To be eligible, you need to: 1. Be an Indian citizen. 2. Currently be a student in Classes 1 to 12. 3. Have a family annual income of less than INR 5,00,000. 4. Maintain good academic performance for the past two years. 5. Be associated with a Sports Coach or a recognized Sports Body/Federation/Academy. 6. Either be a member of winning or runner-up teams, or achieve first, second, or third positions in individual events at State or National levels OR 7. Consistently participate for the last 2 years for your country/state at state, national, or international levels in the last 2/3 years and should be within 500 ranks in national ranking/within 100 in state ranking OR 8.
