The role of the board is to recruit candidates for the following posts in 
the 
State’s uniformed service:
Sub Inspectors:
 (i) Sub Inspector (AR, TALUK, and TSP) for both men and women.
 (ii) Sub Inspector (Technical) for both men and women.
 (iii) Sub Inspector (Finger print) for both men and women.
Police Constables:
 (i) Grade II Police Constables for both men and women.
 (ii) Grade II Firemen for men only.
 (iii) Grade II Jail Warders for both men and women.
