The number of kidnapping cases in Pakistan has 
soared since last year. In September, the 
provincial capital witnessed 95 cases of 
kidnapping. However, many of the children

abuse, Sahil. The NGO collected data on 
sexual abuse from local newspapers from 
January to June. The data shows that 
children aged six to fifteen are most at risk 
of sexual abuse. There were 1,564 6
reported cases in Punjab alone, 338 in 
Sindh, and 199 in the Islamabad Capital 
Territory.
