Once again, it's that time of the year when all roads lead to Riyadh because Riyadh Season has 
started. Gates opened on 28th October, the Riyadh Season has now made its name as the biggest 
event in the calendar. It has become synonymous with Culture, Entertainment, and Innovation 
promoted by the Govt. of Saudi Arabia. As the kingdom continues to evolve and open its gates for 
the world, this annual extravaganza reflects its dynamic spirit and its commitment to embracing the 
future while still rooted in tradition and culture. This year's Riyadh Season 2023, was the most 
anticipated event in the region as the Saudi Govt. pulled all stops to make it a mega event. Apart 
from building a world class infrastructure, the number of live events, be it in the field of music, 
theater, sports or culture, speaks volumes about the hard work and commitment of the organizers 
towards making this year's event a grand success. 
The Riyadh Season 2023 opened on Saturday, October 28 with a huge fanfare and buzz around the 
much awaited boxing match between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou, preceded by multiple 
undercard fights. The newly completed Kingdom Arena, built in 60-days, with a capacity of 40,000, 
was lit up red, green and purple to kickstart the massive opening ceremony, which also featured 
performances by superstars like Beckey G and Kanye West, keeping in tune with this year's theme - 
BIG TIME. 
 
With 12 separate zones, hosting live gigs by chart bursting artists from different musical genres, 
theaters by local and international groups, cultural weeks spanning different countries (India, 
Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sudan, Philippines, Indonesia), sporting events like Diriyah E grand prix, 
America's cup (Yachting), Spanish Super Cup (semi-final and Final games/ Soccer), World heavyweight 
boxing title fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, and host of other immersive activities and 
participative games, the Riyadh Season 2023 is going to be one long party that's going to last till 
March. 
 
And it is a party where all are invited. The Riyadh Season has something for everyone. For food lovers 
there are signature gourmet restaurants and cafes serving exquisite cuisine to satisfy every palate. 
There is also a "Food truck Zone" where people can sample street food from different parts of the 
world. For kids and youngsters there are a host of fun inducing immersive games like Zero latency, 
live musicals like Disney: The Castle, Interactive engagements like Cocomelon Playdate. There's "The 
Hive", where young music fans can play golf, enjoy karaoke or create their own music. Dog lover's can 
enjoy the Dog Festival where more than 250 dogs of different breeds will be competing.
Motor enthusiasts can have their fill with the Riyadh Motor Show providing an interactive platform for the 
latest technologies and trends in the automotive industry alongwith shows and entertainment events to give 
an unforgettable experience. Animal lovers can head to Riyadh Zoo to experience close encounters with 
different animals. This year Riyadh Zoo unveiled their latest addition, the endangered Red Panda, for an up 
and close experience. For History buff's there's the King Tut's Museum, an immersive interactive cinematic 
museum to one of the greatest archaeological discoveries in history.
 
The adrenaline junkies and horror fans can test their fear factor in a number of escape room games like "The 
tomb of the Pharaoh", "Zeela House", "Hotel Terror" and many more. The list goes on and on… the fun never 
stops. 
 
The Riyadh Season 2023 has arrived with a big bang and as promised, it is a spectacular extravaganza of culture, 
entertainment, and innovation. It not only celebrates Saudi Arabia's culture through captivating performances by 
local artists, interactive exhibits, but also gives platforms to different countries to showcase their culture. The 
cutting edge exhibits and displays present the latest advancements in various fields, from artificial intelligence to 
sustainable practices. This event serves as a testament to Saudi Arabia's vision for a future that seamlessly blends 
tradition and modernity. And mixed with it is the entertainment quotient which raises the bar up a notch. A total 
of 33 shows and concerts happening across the month by top international and regional artists including Post 
Malone, Rodge, Baligh Hamdi... the entertainment is top of the line. It can't get any better.
