• Remo D’Souza was born on 2nd  April 1974 in the 
Palakkad district of Kerala.
• He was named Ramesh Gopi by his parents K. Gopi and 
Madhvi Laxmi.
• The boy studied in the Air Force school of Jamnagar in 
Gujarat.
• During his HSC Exams, the young one understood that he 
was not interested in studies.
• His father wanted him to join the Air force.
• But, Remo dreamed of being a dancer.
•  He learnt to dance by watching movies, music videos etc.
• The youngster considered Michael Jackson as his guru. 
• Remo got his first opportunity as a background dancer in 
the film Rangeela in 1995.
• He got the first break as the choreographer in the movie 
Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar in 2000.
• The dancer did his directorial debut with a Bengali film 
called Lal Pahare’r Katha in 2007. 
• The first Hindi movie directed by Remo is F.A.L.T.U. in the 
year 2011.
• The artist received the International Indian Film Academy  
Award for the Best Choreography for Yeh Jawaani Hai 
Deewani in 2014.
• He won Producer’s Guild Film Awards for the best 
Choreography category for the song Pinga in 2016.
• The dancer was awarded 63rd National Film Award for Best 
Choreography for the song Deewani Mastani.
• He won the Filmfare Award for Best Choreography in 2020 
for the movie Kalank.
• The journey of the dancer is a motivational story.
• He inspires everyone to live their dreams.
