Representative during the new 
construction of 53units of

neighborhoods. Building

center, a spectacular roof deck

Chicago, bike storage and 
repair areas, and a dog spa
TDS is the Owner’s Representative 
for this mixed-use, 107-unit, Passive 
House-certified new Smart Growth 
development in Cambridge, MA. 
New Street is one of the first 
projects to be planned under the 
City’s new Affordable Housing 
Overlay (AHO) Zoning District, 
designed to help affordable housing 
developers create new, permanently 
affordable homes more quickly, 
more cost-effectively, and in areas 
of the city where there are currently 
fewer affordable housing 
opportunities. 
The Amethyst Brook Apartments consist of a new 28 unit Passive House 
building at the site of the former Montague Fly Rod Factory, and a new 6 
unit building with historic detailing to match the character of the larger site. 
The complex project involves significant retaining walls, wetland 
adjacencies, ledge, and significant elevation changes. TDS is providing pre-
construction services, including design reviews and value engineering.
