         About Us
The Mac Project is a creative enterprise housing 
both The Mac Project Band – a Soul, RnB, Pop & Jazz 
outfit and The Mac Project Studio– a creative 
coaching studio based in Melbourne.
The Mac Project is the brainchild of MaryAnne ‘Mac’ 
McCormack.
After being accepted straight from high school into 
one of the country’s top Acting Schools, NIDA 
(National Institute of Dramatic Art), I worked 
successfully for a number of years as an Actor in 
Television, Theatre, Music Theatre (multiple 
Helpmann & Greenroom Award Nominee).
        The Band
Our rapidly growing fan base finds us 
performing regularly at popular venues 
including Republica & Captain Baxter in St 
Kilda, The Smith, Corte, The Prahran Hotel, 
Richmond Club Hotel & The Bridge. 
We also perform at a range of high-profile 
corporate events including the Australian 
Open and Spring Racing Carnival, as well as 
weddings and private functions both locally 
and interstate. We’re available to perform as 
an acoustic duo/trio, a four-piece band… and 
more!
