Short response, yes. It is essentially shading in the lines with 
a paintbrush. You needn't bother with any past painting 
experience whatsoever. Simply be patient and invest in some 
opportunity to fill in that multitude of tones equitably. I 
purchased this pack for my girl, she's 10 years of age, and 
she amazed me with her concentration to complete it. She 
appreciated it and it kept her occupied for a really long time!

Can Kids really do paint by 
numbers?
 Indeed!! I paint with my children constantly 
and it's our extraordinary time together. I 
would suggest purchasing the kits that are 
named "Simple" for youngsters 7 to 11 
years of age contingent upon how tricky 
they are. Grown-ups and 11+-year-old 
children can do the INTERMEDIATE level. 
Have a go at making it a gathering 
movement and partake in the time together
