completing her studies Savitribai and Jyotirao
opened a school in Pune. Slowly they both
were able to open five more schools in the
year 1848.
• Improving the society’s view towards “widow
remarriage in India”.
• Savitribai and Jyotirao strongly opposed Sati
Pratha.
• She took the responsibility ‘Satyashodhak
Samaj’ which was founded by her husband.
