Lake Pichola is an artificial lake located within the city of Udaipur in 
the Indian province of Rajasthan. It was built by Maharana Udai 
Singh in 1559 AD as a fresh water source for the city. The lake is 
named after a local deity Picholi Devi who was worshipped by 
Maharana Udai Singh. The lake is rectangular in shape and is 
enclosed by embankments with gardens. The average depth of the 
lake is 10 feet (3 meters) and the maximum depth is 25 feet (7.6 
meters).
LAKE FATEHSAGAR
Lake Fatehsagar is a man-made lake built in the 16th Century, back 
in 1562, by Rajput King Maharana Fateh Singh. While the lower level 
of the lake is filled with rain-fed water, the upper part of it gets filled 
with what’s known as “sweet water” that flows down from small 
streams from the hills. So all in all, it makes for a beautiful urban

JAISAMAND LAKE
