Infrastructure is one of the crucial components of development 
in every country. The road and bridge infrastructure keeps the 
entire country connect and enables trades to boost a country’s 
economy. Certainly, infrastructure is important for a country's 
economic development and prosperity. Therefore, the country’s 
infrastructure should be well-constructed and maintained. 
Sadly, the US bridge infrastructure is not in good condition and 
needs immediate reconstruction or repair. According to a 
recent infrastructure report card of the United States, there are 
more than 617,000 bridges in America. At present, 42 percent 
of them are more than 50 years old and 7.5 percent of bridges 
are structurally deficient.  Certainly, there are some states in 
America that have good infrastructure. Some of them are 
Nevada, Florida, and Tennessee.

Rhode Island
Rohde Island is the second most populated state in the 
United States. Sadly, this state is ranked on top of the 
list of states having the worst transportation 
infrastructure in the United States. 
Approximately, 23 percent of bridges and 53 percent of 
roads are considered functionally obsolete and 
structurally deficient in Rohde Island. This implies that 
Rohde Island is quite unsafe for people there.

New Jersey
New Jersey is one of the states that have the worst 
transportation infrastructure in the United States. In fact, 
New Jersey has ranked on the fourth-highest percentage 
of bridges and roads in poor condition. 
Just like Rohde Island, New Jersey is a populated city with 
congested roads. The transportation infrastructure of 
New Jersey needs immediate repair!

California
Seeing California in the list of states with the worst 
transportation infrastructure is quite surprising for you. 
Well, it’s true. 
According to a survey report, approximately 45 percent 
of California’s transportation infrastructure is in poor 
condition. Undeniably, the transportation infrastructure 
of California needs serious repair.
