OCIMF
The OCIMF is the Oil Companies International Marine Forum and was established 
in April 1970 as a response to the growing concerns among the public regarding 
marine pollution. The OCIMF coordinated various anti-pollution initiatives that 
had begun to emerge following the 1967 Torrey Canyon oil spill. In 1971, the 
International Marine Organisation granted the OCIMF consultative status.
