In contrast to most body washes, which are pearly white and barely fragrant, many conventional hand washes are strongly scented and those in liquid form come in a rainbow of colors. Chemicals or synthetic perfumes are not used in the formulation of natural hand soap. Instead, they wash and hydrate using natural ingredients like Shea butter and tea tree oil. These distinctions don't really matter, though, because both body and hand soap are effective at killing germs.

Hand Soap and Body Soap
Given that "hand soap" is designed to clean your
hands of grease, filth, and germs, it frequently
contains harsher chemicals.

Is Antibacterial Soap Better
The availability of antibiotic soaps at
most retail establishments and their
ability to eradicate harmful bacteria are
two advantages. The drawback is that
they can also wipe off beneficial
microorganisms on the skin. Because of
the additional chemicals, your skin may
become dry and lose natural oils.
Antibacterial soap might also offer
people a false impression of cleanliness,
leading them to wash their hands less
regularly.
