Himalayan salt lamps
Large chunks of pink Himalayan salt are placed into a bulb to create Himalayan salt lamps. When lit, they have a 
distinct appearance and provide a cosy pink glow. Salt from Pakistan's Khewra Salt Mine is used to make the 
Himalayan Salt Lamp. Although it is extremely similar to table salt and is thought to be millions of years old, the 
pink hue of the salt from this region comes from the trace amounts of minerals it contains.

Salt crystals from the Himalayan highlands were used to hand-craft the Himalayan salt lamp. It creates a pleasant
