WHAT IS A CAR POWER WINDOW?
Car Power Windows work using a button or lever that is
positioned on the door panel. Power window faults, like many
other issues pertaining to automobiles, are not very prevalent
but can occur with little to no prior warning. Because their
motors and window regulators — which control the windows
up and down movement — are utilized the most, the front
driver-side windows are the ones most likely to malfunction.
However, it has the potential to affect not just the windows
but also the power roofs. This can happen even in newer
automobiles.
CAUSES OF CAR POWER WINDOW
MALFUNCTION
1. Wiring Issue
It is possible for the sequence of wires that connect a power
window switch to a window motor to become damaged, which
would result in a power window becoming unable to move.
It usually happens when repairing another component in a
power window, which may affect the wiring of the power
window. Hence, it is always advised to take your vehicle to a
professional for windshield repair or replacement.

2. Window Regulator
A window regulator is a mechanism that allows windows to be
adjusted vertically. Windows without regulators cannot be
adjusted. Every power window has its own individual regulator
for the window.
In the event that a window's regulator has been broken, it will
no longer be possible to move a window simply by pressing a
button. A malfunctioned power window can even affect the
safety of your vehicle. Anybody can access your vehicle
through an open or partially open window. Also, if it's down,
there's a chance you won't be able to raise it back up.
3. Window Motor
Another common problem that occurs in power windows is due
to window motor. A power window's window motor is
responsible for delivering electrical energy to the window
regulator, which subsequently makes the window move up and
down.
When there is an issue with the window motor, no electrical
energy is available to move the window. This prevents the
window from being opened or closed.
4. The Power Toggle
The power switch can become worn out to the point that it no
longer functions correctly. It often happens due to rough touch,
which affects the movement of power windows. Hence, it is
essential to see that the power switch works properly at all
times.
