Capital of the state of Rajasthan and
the Pink City of India, Jaipur is Northern
India’s first planned city. Segmented
into the older part and newer part, the
older part of the city was painted pink
by Maharaja Ram Singh prior to the
arrival of the Prince of Wales to
welcome him, hence the name Pink
City.
