How to create and join a channel on WhatsApp?

Introduction:
Unlike some other messaging platforms, 
WhatsApp did not have a direct feature for 
creating or joining channels as of update in 
January 2022. 
WhatsApp mainly uses group chats and 
individual chats. The closest thing WhatsApp has 
to a "channel" is a group chat, which you can 
start and invite people to join. 
Here's how to use WhatsApp to start and join a 
group chat.
The rollout of WhatsApp Channels has started on 
2023 , though not everyone can access it just yet.

How to Start a Group Chat:
Launch WhatsApp on your mobile device.
Select the "New chat" icon from the chat list, 
which is typically located in the lower-right 
corner of the screen.
Choose "New Group."

Add contacts:
You can now choose which contacts to include 
in the group. 
From your contact list, you can select. To 
include a contact in the group, tap on their 
name. Add as many as you would like.
After selecting the desired contacts, click "Next" 
or the green checkmark.

Give group name and keep profile photo: 
Now that your group has a name, you can 
optionally add a group profile photo. 
This is the area where you can customize the 
identity of your group.
To form the group, tap the green checkmark.
 It has now created your group chat. With the 
group members, you can begin exchanging 
content and messages.

Joining a Group Chat:
If someone else has created a 
group and invited you to join, you 
will typically receive a notification 
or a direct invitation link

Tap on link notification to join:
To join the group, tap the link or the 
notification. As an alternative, you can 
launch WhatsApp, select the "Chats" 
tab, and potentially receive an invitation 
to participate in a group chat.   
  To join, tap that message.
You can open WhatsApp, select the 
"Chats" tab, and then tap the three dots 
in the top-right corner to access the 
menu if you have the invite link for the 
group. 
To join the group, select "Join a group," 
then enter the invite link.

WhatsApp channel:
 WhatsApp Channels has begun rolling 
out but isn’t available to everyone yet.
Establish a channel on WhatsApp to 
communicate with your followers 
directly and share updates.
Open a channel.
Launch WhatsApp Web, then select the 
Channels icon to access the Channels 
section.
Select Plus > Channel Creation.
After selecting Continue, follow the on-
screen instructions.
To complete the creation of your 
channel, add a name. At any point, you 
have the option to change the name 
once more.

You can decide to add an icon and a 
description right away, or you can 
decide to wait until later.
Put a description on the channel: 
Compose a brief description of your 
channel to aid prospective viewers 
in understanding its focus.
Affix a channel emblem: 
To stand out, include an image from 
the internet or your phone.
Once you select "Create channel," 
you're done!

To access the channel information 
page:
Click the Channels icon to open 
Channels.
Select your channel and then the 
name of your channel.
Select Copy URL.
