Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride, or UPVC, is a low-maintenance building material that is commonly used as a substitute for painted wood in window frames and sills when installing double glazing in new structures or replacing older single-glazed windows. Other applications include fascia, siding, and weatherboarding. Waste pipes, drain pipes, guttering, and downpipes are all made of the same material, which has nearly completely replaced cast iron in plumbing and drainage. In the home improvement market, these products are commonly referred to as “Roofline.”
