Best LGBT Therapist In Minnesota | Zimmerman Relational Therapy
TANNER A.
ZIMMERMAN, MA,
LAMFT
Welcome to the part where I get to
tell you about myself and what
jazzes me about therapy!
About
I consider myself a relationship therapist. I love working with partnerships of all
statuses and structures. What does that really mean? It means that no matter
what your relationship looks like, I offer a safe place where you can be vulnerable,
courageous, small, successful, and more without fear of judgement. Relationships
can be messy and complicated; I want to work with you through the hard stuff.
Relationship
Therapy
Taking your relationship to therapy
can be uncomfortable or downright
terrifying.
No matter the status or structure of your
relationship, I welcome the chance to support
your exploration of intimacy and the
intricacies of your partnership. I work with
folks on issues related to sex and desire,
differences in communication, parenting
friction, navigating non-traditional
relationships (ex: polyamory, kink), family of
origin challenges, and more.
Individual Therapy
The reasons any one person may seek counseling are endless. Take a moment to
celebrate making it this far in your therapeutic journey. Let’s take the next step together.
I work with a trauma-informed lens and use narrative and attachment-based theories to
navigate challenges with anxiety, depression, identity, and beyond. I am particularly
passionate about working with issues related to gender, sexuality, and kink identities.
Family Therapy
Families are complicated. Oftentimes, chaos within a family system is not simply one person’s responsibility. Rather, it
is born of multifaceted issues within the system itself.
Therapy for the entire family is designed to heal interpersonal wounds that form the crux of the family’s struggle. I
strive to increase collaboration in families and strengthen familial relationships. I work to foster compassion and
understanding between all family members.
Talk to us
Zimmerman Relational Therapy proudly values the diversity and
intersection of all identities.
I welcome clients of all genders, all sexualities, all partnership
models (ex: non- monogamous, monogamous, polyamorous), all
racial and cultural backgrounds, all spiritual beliefs, all
educational and class levels, all levels of physical and mental
ability, all sizes, and all family structures.
